Private Chef

 Chef-inspired dinner parties in your own home.

I will curate and serve a freshly prepared meal in your home. Choose from a selection of proteins and sides from the catering menu or we can collaborate on a customized menu. The dinner can be served plated, family-style, banquet, or boxed. 

Silver Chef

Silver Chef™ was launched in March 2021 to focus on healthy, well-balanced meals designed for seniors who live at home, in life-plan communities, or with family or other caregivers. Silver Chef™ is delivering lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menus center around comfort foods that are visually pleasing and delicious. The rotating menus meet the current guidelines of the USDA Food Guidance System. Special diets such as pureed meals or mechanical soft can be accommodated to meet individual needs. About Me

I am Donna Rein, and I started Traveling Meat & More, LLC in January 2019. I pride myself on being a local small-business owner. I provide event catering and personal chef services to the McLean, Arlington, Falls Church, and DC areas. I am an ANSI Certified Food Protection Manager, and I am a self-taught passionate cook who has also been professionally trained at the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA. I am a fully insured caterer. In addition, I hold a master's degree in health administration (MHA), and am a Virginia licensed nursing home administrator. 


"Traveling meat" became an idiom for my charcuterie & cheese boards which I would bring to gatherings with my friends. I have always loved to cook, entertain, and experiment in the kitchen. I am constantly working on new recipes and especially love the challenge of personally preparing gluten-free, vegetarian, keto-friendly, culturally diverse, and visually appealing meals. Therefore, it was only fitting that I named my company, Traveling Meat & More.
